Biography: David Tremain

David Tremain studied art at Medway College of Design and paper conservation at Camberwell College of Art in London. After working in England for five years he immigrated to Canada. He was employed at CCI in 1979, first as a Conservator specializing in works of art on paper, then as a Conservator with Preventive Conservation Services, concentrating on emergency preparedness and museum security issues. He has taught workshops on this issue since 1987, and has also presented papers on emergency preparedness at conferences in Canada, the United States, France, Poland, and Taiwan.
