Host a CCI Workshop
Description:
CCI offers Canadian and international heritage organizations and associations the opportunity to host a CCI workshop. Our workshops include a diverse range of learning activities to help participants care for their collections. This service is subject to CCI's Terms and Conditions.
Application Period:
CCI provides 16 regional workshops at $500 each fiscal year (April 1 to March 31). These are available only to Canadian heritage organizations. Clients eligible for these workshops will be contacted with details of when and how to apply.
Requests for other workshops can be submitted at any time.
Evaluation Process:
CCI confirms that clients are eligible for the service, and evaluates the request against CCI's Assessment Criteria. Recommendations are then forwarded to the appropriate Manager/Director for approval.
Fees and Eligibility:
Before requesting a service:
- determine your CCI Eligible Client Category
- familiarize yourself with the terms of the services
- consult the Service Eligibility and Fees tool to review the fees associated with this service
Services Standards:
Client satisfaction:
CCI will maintain an Overall Client Satisfaction rating of 95% (i.e. 95% of clients will be satisfied or very satisfied with the service they received from CCI), based on the following 11 quality parameters:
- application process
- acknowledgement of the initial request
- explanation of fees
- explanation of service to be provided
- communication during the project
- promptness of service
- quality of service
- usefulness of service
- quality of written material provided (e.g. report)
- dealings with staff (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
- overall value
The Client Satisfaction rating for each individual parameter will not be less than 90%.

CCI will respond to general questions related to this service within 2 working days when queries are submitted:

Note: CCI may require additional time to respond to some enquiries for scientific or technical advice, depending on the nature of the request
Response to new requests:
CCI will respond to new requests within 3 weeks of receipt. Clients will be informed if their request has been accepted within 8 weeks of submission, and will be told at that time what terms, conditions, and fees (if any) will apply.
For Regional Workshops, clients will be informed if their request has been accepted within 8 weeks of the December 1 application cut-off date.
