Tools and Guidelines

The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) has developed several tools to assist you with a variety of conservation tasks, including:

• Environmental Guidelines for Museums - Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH), a general introduction for all museum professionals to the current approach to controlling ambient RH and temperature in museums.
• Mould Outbreak - An Immediate Response, a general course of action to deal with a mould infestation in a heritage collection.
• PadCAD (Version 3.0) to help simplify protective package design for fragile objects.
• PEGcon to calculate the amount of polyethylene glycol required to conserve waterlogged wood.
